By-Laws

Every Lodge must have a framework that ensures its members work together in peace, order, and harmony. For St. James Lodge No. 80 in White Rock, our By-Laws provide that foundation. They outline how we meet, how we welcome new members, how we care for our finances, and how we uphold the dignity of our traditions.

While the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of British Columbia and Yukon governs Masonry across the jurisdiction, the By-Laws of St. James Lodge No. 80 give expression to those principles in the life of our Lodge. They are our working rules—shaped by our history, responsive to our present needs, and guiding us toward the future.

This section of our blog is dedicated to helping Brethren and friends better understand what the By-Laws are, why they matter, and how they support the values of Freemasonry: brotherly love, relief, and truth.
